• Exciting venues for art breaks?

    I have been researching into exciting venues to set up art breaks and thinking that Yurts, eco pods, red bus art tours maybe a good plan! Will be getting some venues and artists lined up for the Spring/Summer for all you art loving holiday makers! A chance to brush up on some skills, explore some beautiful English countryside and make some new friends and contacts.... can't wait for the summer already : )

  • Up coming exhibition "Back Over The Hills"

    I have got a very exciting solo exhibition coming up in November at Woodchester Mansion, Gloucestershire. It will be over the weekend of the 26th. See attached poster.

    Opening Friday 25th November from 7pm- 10pm; with a lantern lit walk to the mansion, to a warm glass of mulled wine or cider into the music and fire lit rooms where the exhibition will be held. To come to the opening night there will be tickets on sale for £10 from October 14th (proceeds go to the Woodchester mansion trust) online at www.katherinebryan-merrett.co.uk

    Make sure you wear something warm!

    Then it will be open to public Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th November 10am-4:30pm.

    “Back over the Hills” an exhibition by Katherine Bryan-Merrett

    An exhibition exploring the life of the artist through landscape and figurative oil studies. Follow the Journey of the artist through the Yorkshire dales, Wales, Gloucestershire, Dorset and Scotland. See the landscapes that inspired Katherine, these sometimes dark and stormy reflections of her past represent the journey of growing up, relocating and the changing outlook through various stages of her life.

    Katherine has been renowned for her portraiture through past exhibitions and commissioned work, this is truly a magical exhibition and a new stage of exploration for her.   • I love getting outside and doing some art work! this is a quick oil pastel sketch from the woods at Ashton Court, Bristol. I didn't think much of it at the time, but when i got back home and looked at it, i really enjoyed the image.
